Behold the 16 hottest bars in Chicago
by Daniel Gerzina and Ashok Selvam
Beyond where to eat right now, tipsters, readers, friends and family of Eater often have another burning question: Where should one drink right now? While the Eater 38 is a crucial resource covering the best standbys and neighborhood essential restaurants across the city and the Eater Heatmaphighlights where the restaurant crowds are flocking to at the moment, the Eater Chicago Cocktail Heatmap shows the hottest bars and restaurants where cocktail, beer, and wine aficionados are drinking right now.
November means the winter chill is starting to settle in and the holidays are coming, as well as a plethora of hot new bars have come with another Heatmap shakeup. Two eagerly-awaited breweries (Jolly Pumpkin and Off Color), the Scofflaw guys' new Logan Square hotspot The Moonlighter, Emporium Arcade Bar's new Fulton Market location, and River North's hot new dart bar Point and Feather join the crew. Meanwhile, five also have to drop off, so restaurant hotspots Proxi and BLVD (which are still on the restaurant heatmap), rooftop sensation Noyane, and Wrigleyville haunts Brickhouse Tavern and Lucky Dorr come off to make room. Happy drinking.
This exotic new hotspot in West Town is making waves for its beautiful lush interior, hip eclectic mid-century vibes and music, and standout cocktails from Liz Pearce (The Drifter). A promising full food menu adds to what could be one of the hottest new spots of 2017.
